Justin Jacapraro

(PT, DPT, CFMT, ATC)

Physical Therapist – IPA Manhattan

Justin’s clinical experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, and neurorehabilitation has allowed him to create a unique approach towards patient care. His career started when he obtained his B.S in Athletic Training at Stony Brook University in 2013, after which he began working with both D1 collegiate level and high school athletes with musculoskeletal conditions and concussions. His desire to learn brought him to the University of Rhode Island where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Upon graduating, he began his career at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital’s outpatient clinic treating patients with various diagnoses including post operative care, sports medicine, neurological disease and injuries. To continue growing as a clinician, Justin travelled to California to participate in one of the nation’s oldest physical therapy residencies, the Kaiser Vallejo Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Residency (PNF). While there he received intensive mentorship, and primarily worked with patients who experienced traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury.

His primary focus is on individualized patient care and looks at the person as a whole, integrated system to identify underlying causes for pain, dysfunction and injury. His clinical skills include continued education in manual therapy, neuromuscular efficiency and reeducation, nutrition, stress reduction and movement health. His goal is to combine the art of patient care with the science of healing to help others actualize their potential.

Justin loves anything involving food, coffee, and travel. He has a newfound passion for exploring the Nation’s National Park system, and has been to 5 parks and counting. His interests include cooking, reading, coffee roasting, hiking and music. He has been a drummer since the age of 7 and loves jazz, rock and folk music.
