Physical Therapist – IPA Manhattan
Where were you born and what has been your living story as it relates to Physical Therapy?
I grew up in New York City, where my parents introduced me to movement through musical theater. After taking every acting and dance lesson I could find on the Upper East Side, I eventually found my way to French Woods, a performing arts camp where I discovered circus arts—and, most importantly, flying trapeze. I was immediately hooked. I loved the challenge of learning to control my body through complex movements and tricks, and I began looking for a career that would allow me to combine my love of movement with my interest in science and medicine. With my dad being a neuroscientist, science had always been an important part of my upbringing, making physical therapy feel like the perfect intersection of my interests.
I earned my DPT from NYU and have since pursued additional training in Pilates and strength and conditioning. Outside of PT, I continue to train flying trapeze, strength train, explore NYC’s boutique fitness scene, and am slowly learning to golf.
What is your favorite thing about practicing Physical Therapy?
I love developing a fun, consistent routine with my patients and helping them get back to the activities and forms of movement they love—stronger, more confident, and pain-free.
